New staff shall be provided with an induction following this structure:

Part 1 |
General introduction to the Movement (mission, vision, historic milestones, structure of WOSM, governance)

General introduction to the One WSB (history, structure, values, policies and organisational culture, Safe from Harm)

Part 3 |
Practical elements (IT equipment and policies, safety in the workplace, access to the office, office working hours, health insurance, support for the relocation of international staff)

Individual |
Part 4 |
Introduction to the new staff member’s team and their work (Regional, Global and/or thematic)

Part 5 |
Setting an individual work plan through the performance appraisal system (refer to section 4.4.1), with a focus on both short-term deliverables in the probationary period and long-term goals, as well as identifying training needs.
This part should also stress how each individual role is contributing to WOSM’s mission and vision (giving a big picture perspective to the employee of the contribution they are making).
