At the end of an appointment with the World Scout Bureau, the following steps will be undertaken between the concerned staff member, line manager and the local HR and IT teams:

  • Line manager informs Secretary General and HR of staff separation;
  • Line manager announces separation to One WSB colleagues;
  • Line manager coordinates portfolio handover to a new or existing employee, if necessary, by taking measures to ensure a transition period;
  • Knowledge management, as well as handover of any digital assets, are complied with by the separating staff member in line with the WSB’s global IT policies and knowledge management practices and procedures;
  • The line manager informs local HR and IT about the offboarding of WSB collaboration and HR tools;
  • An exit interview is conducted by the local HR team;
  • Final payments are made for earned but unused annual leave, taking into account recovery of any outstanding loans or advances not settled prior to the staff leaving;
  • Closure of pension accounts where applicable.
